Description: ISC is an annual songwriting competition that provides songwriters and musicians the opportunity to gain exposure in the international arena. ISC offers its entrants the unprecedented opportunity to have their music heard by some of the most prominent members of the music industry. With 16 different musical categories, ISC has a panel of judges that includes high-profile industry professionals and celebrities encompassing a diverse spectrum of musical genres.<CR><CR>2005 ISC judges so far include:<CR><CR>Monte Lipman (President, Universal Recs); Darryl McDaniels (Run D.M.C.); Steve Vai; Amy Ray (Indigo Girls); Joss Stone; LeAnn Rimes; Macy Gray; Tara Griggs-Magee (Exec. VP Gospel/Urban Music, Sony Recs); Michael McDonald (President, ATO Recs); Chris Parr (VP of Music Programming & Talent Relations, CMT); Barbara Sedun (VP Creative, EMI Music Pub Canada); and many more to be announced soon.<CR><CR>2005 categories:<CR>Pop/Top 40, Folk/Singer-Songwriter, Rock, AAA/Roots/Americana, Country, R&B/Hip-Hop, Jazz, Gospel/Christian, Dance/Electronica, Blues, Children's Music, Performance, Instrumental, World Music, Lyrics Only, and Teen (for kids 18 yrs. old and younger – the winner of this category also wins a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music’s Summer Performance Program).<CR><CR>In addition to a total prize package of $100,000 in cash and merchandise, ISC winners also benefit from a multi-lateral promotion campaign designed to heighten awareness and increase exposure for their music, and most importantly, to help them further their careers.
